what is up ladies and gentlemen welcome back to the brandoncoin YouTube channel we are back in the shop today BC's PCS uh glad to have you um there was a couple new people that have been on the last few videos and before I get started I just wanted to address yes I do have a small computer shop uh and yes I do have stuff available for sale so I guess selfs sponsorship I am my own sponsor www.bcc.edu number if you need to call and have any questions it's not it is a separate phone number for the business so you can text it it's a cell phone but if you do it in the middle of the night I'm not going to answer because I'll probably be sleeping so 919 906 4947 now let's jump right into it so I had somebody bring in today uhoh where'd it go oh no oh no I lost it oh here it is okay so I had somebody bring in some stuff they wanted to trade in and I saw this in there so probably didn't focus on that very well because it said focusing failed well anyway it looks like a Samsung nvme until you look right there it's got the keyhole cutouts for a SSD not an nvme and if you look at it it says 1080 Pro I didn't know Sam Samsung made a 1080 Pro let alone a 1080 Pro SSD I look it up online it's not real it's it's fake so this says it's a 4 tbte I told him I would need to check into this before I could give him an offer he and I he was like yeah no problem and I was I'm going through some other stuff for him um so he he left he's coming back here in a couple hours or something but uh I plug it in I have a little dongle device where I can just plug it in and hot swap them on the computer and guys buy or beware do not buy these offbrand uh nvme drives he said he got this one on eBay and he paid 50 bucks for it $50 for a 4 tbte m.2 and it was brand new apparently it's no good this actually and I peeled the sticker off this has two chips on it right two little memory chips and if you type in the number of those memory chips online guess what they come up as they are 64 gab memory chips so this is a 120 gig SSD and what they do is they just flash the firmware to say when you plug it in oh it's 4 terabytes so the computer thinks it's 4 terabytes it'll try to write stuff to it uh and whenever it gets over that 120 gigs it'll error out it'll basically be useless now other people are just like oh you know I've seen this in the past and they're like well at least you can use 120 gig of it yes it is slow uh but you could use it as 120 gig Drive uh but $50 for a 120 gig Drive is like that's Overkill it's highway robbery so take that into account this is just a a public service announcement like PSA um avoid scammy scummy knockoff drives I wish that would focus on that it's not going to focus because because it's not anyway so I'm going to let him know like there basically that thing has no value um and I'm sorry and try to return it if you can I don't think he'll be able to because uh scammers typically aren't in the business of getting stuff returned so other than that ladies and gentlemen I hope to see you on the next one let me know down below how how was the audio how's the video I installed a a different lens today um it's more of the the wide angle or fish angle lens um so that way you can kind of see around a little bit better and then um is the audio coming through clear I have it mounted to my shirt and I have the little fuzzy ball on it hold on right there so hopefully I sound nice and crispy nice and ASMR for you guys you know what they do they like rub on it or something I don't know um but yeah other than that I'm signing off I'll see you on the next one peace
