How will I know if my GPU mining rigs catch on FIRE?

[Applause] hey guys red panda mining here hope you're doing well having a really great day this video I have been very complacent I got to be honest with you guys my crypto mining Farm in terms of you know having it all set up and such the way I want it's it's all great but once I go on vacation or something I don't have anything really to monitor all the things in case it goes down and so this video is going to be just that going through a couple of things that I have implemented or I'm going to be implementing in order to safeguard myself in order to I don't know have a notification on my phone while I'm out or something because you guys know in a recent video I did have an exhaust fan die at my other crypto mining location and so this place here uh sorry it wasn't actually the fan it was the fan controller and so so I didn't get any notification or anything cuz I don't have any sensors or anything in that other location and so all the rigs were just burning and so I don't want to have that and so I hope this video is kind of like an eyeopener for some people and including myself because I've just gotten too comfortable and I really need to have some I don't know some fail safes some type of monitoring sensor system in order to know what my temps are in case anything's on fire and I'm just going to go through a bunch of things that I have implemented already and maybe this might help someone out there that doesn't have anything so just in case my as6 go on fire I will have something to know and be able to see it like a webcam or a sensor or some type of app that'll choose the winner 24 hours after this video is uploaded okay going along I have a fire extinguisher this is probably the first thing that I think a lot of crypto miners should have but if you're out and about you're obviously not home it's yeah you can't really fire extinguish anything obviously I do have something that I want to talk talk about it's a fire extinguisher ball I'll get to that but here is my other mining area it's kind of like my low power shelf here CPU mining Rigs and such and of course I have my server rack over there and some GPU mining rigs just I just got stuff everywhere my power is here I am able to see how much power I'm using using these Emporia system and I can see it on my phone how much power I'm using and it notifies me if there's any spikes or anything like that so let's talk about some things that I'm wanting to implement or already have implemented so fire extinguisher I guess that's probably a number one thing a lot of people should have so recommendations is to get a dry chemical one so that it's safe or energized electrical components so a multi-purpose dry chemical based fire extinguisher now next thing I have okay in order to in case there's some type of fire which God forbid I hope there is no fire knock on wood okay I have one of these uh fire balls okay and you guys have probably seen these around uh thank you to the bees crypto mining who sent me this a while ago as well as the fire extinguisher these fire extinguisher balls uh you probably seen them around they explode upon fire uh impact okay so if anything goes on fire in this general area it will explode onto uh everywhere around and so normally it should be hung at the top of my ceiling but I haven't done that I will uh do that I'll probably have it like in the center so a fire goes up then it'll explode and extinguish everything uh in this general area here then on my Asic rack I have another one of those balls at the top there okay just right at the center again I didn't mount it to the ceiling or anything and so I guess when things go on fire like any of these kind of things I mean they're going to be dead but if by chance you know the flames you know catch the walls or anything hopefully the fireball will you know obviously hopefully extinguish the stuff around I do have a smoke alarm at the top here as well um that's for I guess if I'm here I could hear that upstairs but again if I'm out I won't be able to hear that obviously but to maybe circumvent that okay now let's talk about the like digital devices that I'll be able to see stuff remotely like this security camera okay so this security camera that I have here it's one of these uh ubiquity I think a G3 all right and it is able to see all of this stuff here in the garage all my as6 and it can also see the backside of my gpus as well so if there's any movement or anything or Flames are shooting out of the back of my octom miners the ubiquity system will send me a I guess a motion detection all right so that's one way I'm able to at least see or if something changes or fire blows out that ubiquity camera will be able to let me know just like that that was me moving in front of the camera I already got a ubiquity notification uh from that camera now I just got something in and thank you to Mr John English Tech he sent this to me it's a UniFi uh smart sensor so apparently these things can see the temperature and humidity and it has like ambient light sensing alarm sound sensing Door and Window State sensing it's up to a 1-year battery life and it connects to a UniFi bluetooth enabled app access points which thankfully I do have around the house so I'll be able to uh connect these up but I guess the biggest things is for me is going to be the uh temperature readings okay so I'm planning on having uh since there's three sensors here okay in a single box I'm planning on having one for each of the racks okay so going to have one for this one going to have one for the GPU rack and I'm going to have one for the as rack and I'm assuming there's some type of uh sensor temperature notification which I actually have a system here called the uh sensor push okay this is a system I was gifted a bit ago and it looks like this the Wi-Fi Gateway this is what is able to read the sensors which I have four of them and here is the app that I can see the temperatures for the sensor push sensors okay this is different from the uh ubiquity sensors so what I'm thinking because it's probably going to be red dependant I'm going to keep these here and I'm going to move the uh sensor push system to my other crypto mining basement where I can monitor the temperatures over there because this sensor push system I can also get a uh notification okay I can actually we can actually configure these to which I didn't have configured okay I was being too complacent you can actually configure these in terms of uh just the limits of the temperatures and you can have an alert okay if it gets too hot but of course I have to set up the like you know 120 Fahrenheit or something that's the that's the max I want to have and then uh low limit I don't know I could have like I don't know 35 Fahrenheit or something probably will never get that cold but you know maybe I will get a notification at 120 Fahrenheit then I'll know something is really is is getting really hot okay especially on the uh Asic rack and right now I only have three sensors hooked up but I do have one more which is over here okay I have not set this one up yet okay this guy right here so let me just quickly uh set this one up okay so you can see my server room it's 89f the uh the server rack is 98 Fen the ASAC rack is 109 fenhe in the back there so I'm going to add a device I'm going to add a sensor and it says I'm just going to place it right here it says the follow it in order to pair it to the system okay so looks like that added all right so this one I'm just going to call uh this is going to be the 3070 uh rack okay and I'm going to have a high limit of I don't know 120 maybe maybe 150 no I think 120 is is good and then low limit I don't know 35 I'm going to have an alert here okay so that Gateway is able to communicate with these you know devices and then that Gateway that's sitting on top of my server rack is going to hopefully notify me of any uh of of any high temperature okay so yeah this thing uh did that show up yeah 3070 rack all right there we go so I'm just going to have like the sensor sitting right here okay and uh if any fire comes hopefully that thing will be able to detect it and uh but again like I said I'm probably going to bring these sensors to my other location and then I'm going to use the ubiquity sensors uh for this location so I can have at least some type of uh temperature monitoring okay uh whether or not maybe I need to have dual temperature monitoring systems like maybe maybe I need to keep both the uh sensor push system uh which you can actually buy on Amazon link down below or the ubiquity system but you need the whole ecosystem including the router the access points all that uh stuff in order to uh utilize the uh sensors okay so guys let me know what you think okay those are just some like I guess actually all the fail safes that I have for where I live here okay as6 shelf GPU shelf uh you know I can get the notifications in terms of having the security camera from ubiquity uh the sensor push ubiquity sensors thank you again John English Tech and uh just some other things like the Fireballs fire extinguisher I guess that's more so if here the smoke detector which I actually have one uh there as well but that's if I'm here if I'm not here I won't be able to hear it so okay that's really it guys I I want to know if there's anything else you guys think I will need I guess I should really get a fireball uh for this one here as well for this for this rack any of these little small things could you know just spontaneously combust or go up in Flames or something I don't know but just to have some type of f safe in case you know this is where I live I I really should think about you know protecting my stuff and or protecting the house in general in case things decide to blow up cuz I have a lot of electrical plugged in a lot of electrical stuff you know and you know I have 400 amp system which is a lot of power and I'm using a lot of power so you know it's just to have just peace of mind in a sense and if I go out and travel or something you know I need to have you know obviously uh I need I guess if I don't have a data connection or internet connection on my phone then obviously I won't be able to get those notifications but if I do I should have data wherever I go then my phone will be the one where I get you know notifications like from my ubiquity system UniFi protect and hopefully the sensor push uh system I should probably just test that out but I do need to have something like that in my other mining location but that said right my GPU rigs in hios okay if I ever need to if things are getting hot I need to remote shut them down then you know the remote sensors will tell me if things are getting too hot that would be a notification for me to log in to a computer here or something turn off my as6 you know or yeah just idle them sleep them or turn off or shut down the miners and hi for the gpus you know that kind of thing so okay guys that's all I really wanted to do let me know your guys' thoughts and thank you again John English
