Making $2 a day on RTX 3060

what is up ladies and gentlemen welcome back to the Brandon coin YouTube channel we are in the shop again today and my wall PC right here this is the shop PC that I use for day-to-day activities um I previously had put a zip tie holding the cooler on right here so it goes around and it limits the size of the graphics card that I can fit in there so for the time being I put my gt1030 in there cuz it was the only low profile card that I had that have multi GPU display uh or multi-display support um but I need my gt1030 cuzz I love that as a diagnostic card it doesn't take any power it runs off the slot it's really small um and I want to pump up the performance on uh my shop computer so I did have a riser right here and I was doing a little bit of mining with it you know just running a card or two in the office no big deal um but I've been wanting to do more AI stuff and the office computer is a x79 so it's an older um extreme platform and you can run V1 and V2 zons in it do I suggest buying these absolutely not uh especially not when you can get V3 and V4 x99 setups um shout out to my my shop I have those x99 setups in stock actually sending out two of them today two motherboards uh kits with uh coolers and and RAM and everything but regardless um I still still want to make use of this x x79 setup and put it on AI and I'm going to compare it to my x99 setups that I have running at home because most of the time the shop PC sits here idle so I'll just set it to do workloads when I'm not using it uh now for the GPU in question we have another Zotac 3060 12 GB card of course these 12 gig cards are preferred uh over the 307s or 3060 TI or even 30 370 TI on um AI workloads uh actually even the 380 10 gigs because those cards are limited on vram these having 12 gigs of vram um is more better for AI workload situations that kind of thing so I'm going to clip that zip tie the reason why I had that zip tie is cuz I did not have the bracket adapters to make a am4 socket style cooler fit onto an x99 board uh but I got some brackets in so let's get it switched over all right guys so I got the bracket in there and installed it does come with screws so it screws into the motherboard nice and solid uh and those are included with the combo kits when you get the x99 kits so um on this system right now for the shop computer we have 32 gigs of DDR3 uh we have a 30602 gig up there and this is a 8 core uh Zeon I don't remember which Zeon it is I'll pull that up here in a second let's see here control shift Escape see if we can't get task manager manager to show up um hold on control shift Escape there we go all right so it is a 2650 V2 eight cores 16 threads 32 gigs of RAM it's picking up the graphics card now the drivers yeah there we go 3060 12 gig so we're going to see if we can't put uh salad on here and see what it'll learn all right so looking at it if I was to mine on the CPU um this guy would be doing about 12 cents a day on Monero and Zephyr and if I was mine on the GPU the 306 12 gig looks like the top dog is about 51 cents a day give or take so I'm going to compare that to what the AI uh workload on uh salad is and I am going to disable crypto mining on salad so it's just the AI workload and see how that compares all right guys so I had to remote into my office computer uh but it just picked up a nice container workload so $189 for the next 24 hours and let me look at the usage here um let see task manager all right so it's using mostly Ram 30 gigs of RAM and it's not uh yeah it's hammer and the GPU okay but not using much CPU well let say it's hammering it but it's like 5 2% it was 100% a second ago um but yeah so obviously this destroys CPU Mining and GPU mining on this setup the only issue is uh it took me the better part of like 7 hours before this this workload came up and there's no guarantee that you're going to get a workload um and it's dependent on you know what CPU you have What GPU all those kind of variables so um yeah also my chopping power is only five out of six because I have bandwidth sharing turned off due to the fact that I don't have super super fast like gigabit fiber uh speeds I only have cable so I can't actually earn any that way so um yeah I'm going to be doing some more in-depth videos on uh setting up and a a budget AI rig so look out for that coming up here soon if you're interested please let me know Down Below in the description um other than that I'll see youall on the next one have a good night and yes I know I need to activate Windows thank you h
