did a video I believe Saturday night um about how I was using unminable and they have a potential security I don't want to call it an exploit but it's just it's not a secure situation for changing onchain payments now it wouldn't be an issue if I would have set up my my wallet out and not used an exchange wallet yes I know it's my fault that's not what we're here to talk about we're here to talk about the fact that you could change your onchange payment without being the account holder there was no verification for being the account holder so I could log I could take your address that you're mining to on unminable go into unminable and change your your payment preferences not the address but the preferences and if you change the chain you know from uh ethereum to binance or or binance to KRC then and you do a manual payout it goes to the wrong place um and if you don't have it set up uh or especially if you're on a exchange and you don't have the keys to it not your keys not your crypto um it's from my understanding and from talking to support over on unminable and support on coinbase we just can't get it so I you know I wash my hands with it $100 uh live and learn I try to stay very secure I rotate out passwords um I never I never remember my own passwords because everything changes uh I have two factor I have authentic ators um I I stay very on top of my security this was one of those situations where I didn't even think about it because normally whenever you're mining to a mining pool there's you have to use an IP address or a login there's some kind of verification for changing settings on unminable there's not no big deal water under the bridge I live learned made a video uh some people seem to think that it's there's no issue there there's still an issue there um but regardless now I got an email this morning from somebody that said good morning dear Brandon and I'm going to show you guys the email um see here automatic beats uh see otter sorry let me turn it on live chat so I can make sure to see everybody finally got all your fan uh funds from FTX Jeff DJ old mate what up bit late yeah yeah we're definitely this is a little early for my live stream but um let me I'm you know what I'm just going to show the email I I have no no regards for it so good morning recently I had access to your unminable eth address which is linked to coinbase I was the one who switched the network and requested a payout I've done it again for the third time I've already started switching everything off of there so I don't know why that's even a problem um if you wish for me to stop it forever and make sure to pay a sum of $20 to this XMR address I can provide you tips on how to prevent such mistakes stes as well here is the unminable link which you are mining yes anybody can go to my unminable link and change my payout preferences um this is not anything that even if I paid you 20 ex $20 in XMR which I'm not pay we don't we don't negotiate with terrorists okay up in here this is America um I'm not paying you nothing bro and anybody can go do this at any time that's why I made the original video because there is an issue here and and 20 bucks like yeah that's and uh he doesn't even have access to those funds those funds are just still sitting if you go and search on the Chain those funds are sitting there in an account that has nothing because nobody can access that account um you can check I've requested a third payout there's dust in there I I think I have maybe like one or two units that are still mining to it because I need to go and reset those units manually cuz I can't get into the dashboard and I just haven't had time to even mess with it um but everything that I could get logged into has been pulled off of there and I need to make sure this email remains confidential you have 48 hours upon now 28th of August 2024 is last day for payment bro what are you talking about you need to step up your your dag on hostage negotiations um game shark there's nothing uh scary about using unminable if you're going to use unminable cuz he said I can provide you tips if you're going to use unminable only mine coins that can't be changed on chains so like Litecoin Caspa there's only one way to get paid out and it's through you know Litecoin Network Litecoin boom so nothing can be changed other than the fact that you can change it from manual to automatic payouts so somebody could you know look up your address that you're mining Litecoin to and if you don't have it set to automatic they could turn it on automatic so then you get a payout every day or they could turn it from automatic to manual so you don't get your pay out until you decide which is still kind of annoying but there's no malicious activity that could happen um just so it's one of those things I this and this email was one hour ago um is this a viewer probably guarantee it's a viewer uh could have happened on any pool now login or kyc have minded on a few already yeah Nexus bug Bounty apron.

different chain you do run the risk of somebody switching the chain um and now some people are like oh this is not an issue just set up your own wallet and then just set up that coin on every single chain which I was mining Sheba so it's on ethereum chain KRC and then what is it BSC binance chain um so then I would have to watch all those different chains because people would randomly be switching back and forth uh and then people are like oh you're never supposed to share your address that's another that's another like common misconception how are you not supposed to share a deposit address like I've never never been in the situation where a deposit it address was a security vulnerability until this point um wannabe scammer needs to get good can't even figure out how to run a proper scam yeah that's what I was going to say I don't fall for scams very often I I'm very very cautious um if anything probably too cautious and I I definitely miss out on things at at times because uh I just if it seems scammy abort you know what I mean um I cancel probably one to two orders a day every single day uh if they don't check all the check marks that's why I tell people do not buy something from my website if you're on a VPN proy make sure you know your shipping address billing address everything checks out if everything doesn't check out and it gives me any red flags it's getting canceled and then people call me what why' you cancel my order and I'm like I didn't know if you're real or not you didn't provide a phone number you didn't provide this you didn't provide that blah blah blah so I always just try to uh cover You Know cya cover my talks if you know what I mean um crypto Mel what did unminable say well I uh I talked to two different people on unminable and basically one of them was like yeah we you know we need to implement some kind of like basic IP uh protection because I I showed them how other pools operate and um you know you need to uh like have the IP of one of your devices on your network that kind of thing it's like super basic security definitely can be worked around or worked through but it's just something it's not just wide open um they they said they originally they were talking about doing like a whole login and an account system and um they may still be working on that but he can't confirm it so I they're like yeah we need to fix that and we're going to somehow or another but just not right now so watch yourself um unminable let's see here need to share public address or can't get any funds don't ever share private Keys yeah yeah never share your private keys but a deposit public address should not be something that you should be concerned about sharing think I'm switching to Doge only one network thanks for the heads up yeah yeah so I am just full disclosure I'm switching everything over to a Litecoin payout on uh unminable so people can get on there and they can change it from automatic to manual but that's the only thing that they can change uh because I don't I don't want to have to be worried about constantly you know keeping my Sheba address um hidden basically so uh yeah for you know and some people are like oh this is only a problem for Content creators but what about if you're talking to somebody and you're like you know hey I'm mining on unminable oh let me you know let me send you some of this let me donate that hey can I buy something from you and then they get your deposit address boom um if they can use anything any little sneaky way to find that deposit address they can go on there and be malicious and not take your crypto just send it into Oblivion that's the the craziest part here you pay me $20 or I'm going to send your crypto into Oblivion again but it's I'm I'm not mining to there anymore um bacon eggs and hash a guy on Discord a while back tried to get me to give him seed phrase for metamask he said he was trying to help me yeah do not ever give out seed phrases your keys I mean it's in the word private Keys like it's private don't give that out um sounds like a potential for a new uh video interview with unable folks I asked if they could get on some kind of you 140 Watts TDP these chips only do like 110 to 120 I've never got one hot and I've mined on these even on but on salad they don't you don't run the these CPUs hard so they never get hot perfect little little Cheapo cooler to keep them cool but yeah so that's what pretty much comes in the kit you also get um let me see if I got I got some I'm running low on RAM again it's like Ram's always my my issue here um oh yeah here's my last kit of uh two sticks of 32 gig a piece ddr4 and it is yeah 2133 so you know bog standard ddr4 but it is registered ECC which those boards are compatible with regular desktop Ram or uh ECC or registered ECC but you can't mix and match them they have to be all the same so pretty cool little setup um and we do have we're we're low on RAM but we have we got a um that was the program that our local animal shelter was doing to try to reduce the uh like um basically killing off cats so we picked up two of them one of them didn't make it we have coyotes here this this one did make it he got tagged on the neck and had like a big gash we had that all you know stitched up or whatever and fixed then we went coyote hunting there's no more coyotes around here
