if I held all that Casp of that thing mind up until I guess pretty much the past maybe maybe a couple months ago it would have been worth almost $400,000 that that would have been worth almost $400,000 but here's the issue guys I and I already explained this I already explained this many times in the other videos I have to pay quarterly taxes all right mining for me is considered income so whatever I mined in Caspa during April 2023 that time I have to pay taxes on that within the next 3 months I have to put in 20 to 30% in taxes so I was mining almost $1,200 a day I was mining $1,200 a day in Caspa during those times okay $1,200 if I that one month I think income wise or that quarter my income was almost 60 Grand 60 was it 60 or $70,000 so where I had to come up with 20 to $30,000 I had to pay to the to the to the tax man I I I I had to come up with that kind of money all right I had to pay quarterly all right so you have to tell so you have to understand from my side of it I I I wish I could hold all that Caspa but you know with bills and you know paying electricity a bunch of other stuff you know I have to pay taxes okay I have to because I make a certain amount of money I have to pay quarterly okay and where the heck am I going to come up with that where the heck am I going to come up with 20 to $30,000 in taxes with within that 3 months I have to sell I had to I had to sell I really didn't want to but I had to okay I I really I have to I have to express that here because it is very I know it's not relatable for maybe a lot of people but for some people that have to pay quarterly taxes it's it's a thing okay mining is considered income and I pay taxes on the initial cost basis of when it hits my own wallet when I when I mine that Caspa every day it's hitting my wallet it so that's considered income that day of whatever the price of Castle was worth uh during this time which was which was uh yeah April 2023 like C was five 4 cents around this time this is when I got that ks2 from Ice River you know it it it was nuts man it it was it was nuts it was insane it was just insane um my life back then this time was this like okay uh like how am I going to where going to where am I going to come up with the cash you know to pay up to pay up the taxes within that quarter you know it's it's it's it's unbelievable so that's Canada for you that's that's Canada for you okay and I know in the states a lot of some people are paying quarterly to depending how much they make so I know it's not just a Canada thing but an American thing as well okay all right and another thing is another thing is so in that quarter Caspa was also going down if I didn't sell if if I didn't sell every day and if I held on to that $1,200 Caspa it would have been worth $600 so when it came time to pay that quarterly tax quarterly tax Caspa was already like 2 cents so so my initial cost basis I have to pay that at 4 cents 43 43 cents when I first mined it that day okay $1200 so if I didn't sell that Caspa that day it would it I would then have to pay I would imagine me taking out most of it in order to pay that that taxes right imagine imagine that right when the crypto is going down it's even worse so if you don't plan in a good way especially if you're playing quarterly taxes it's it can be it can be insane if you don't have enough Capital to pay out of pocket and if you're holding the crypto it could it could be it could be very bad it can turn out to be a bad very bad situation especially if you don't have the cash to pay at that time the quarterly tax so I did not want to take that risk okay the biggest thing for me I'm telling you guys here I'm I'm being honest with you I was selling every day I was selling that cash FL when it was at $1,200 $800 $1,000 a day I was selling it into into Fiat because I knew I just knew that when it came time to pay the quarterly tax I need to I needed to have that cash in order to do it and I I was thankful that it did go I was thankful that I did sell every day cuz if I didn't the amount that I was mining during these times when it was up at 4 cents 5 cents and it went down to 2 cents and tax tax time came around I would have had to sell the whole godamn beg and I wouldn't have made any profit because I sold at a lower rate a lower price right if I held it for the next two or three months or that month or whatever whenever I mind it it would have been it would have been worth a lower value so you you really got to plan out right if if you're paying quarterly taxes you got to plan out like you got to have that extra either you have extra income you have multiple jobs to make more money like you got to think about all that guys if you're making this type of money like it's it it it gets stressful all right guys I'm just I'm just telling you here it gets it get it can get stressful and if you don't have the the capital the income to offset that when you're paying quarterly taxes and you're trying to hold all the crypto you can it can it can get very it can get very stressful and if I held all that Caspa up until now then yeah I would be I would be laughing I would be laughing right now it be have almost half a million dollars right 2.8 million Cas is almost $400,000 if I if I held all the way up until now but where was where the heck was I going to come out with the cash to pay those quarterly taxes uh during uh during this during this time okay so there I explained it there I explained it to you guys all right that's that's the reality of of of uh of crypto Mining and uh running as a business and you know cash flow you don't have the extra Capital to pay out of pocket you know you trying to hold as much as you can I mean during okay during these times as well I mean I got when I was renovating my house I got scammed by like $25,000 from the electrician um I got scammed a few thousand of Excavating I got scammed I'm never renovating a house ever again never deal with I hate all contractors I don't trust any contractors anymore cuz they're all pieces of crap so Not only was that a very big burden on me as well but you know it was it was just like you know it was getting stressful right it was getting stressful during these times because I was like okay you know not only have to pay taxes and stuff but you got to figure out all the bills and so many bills so many so many other things to worry about especially I was doing it during that time so yeah I wish I held all that Caspa Bros trust me trust me if I could hold all that Caspa I I really I would I really really wanted to but at the end of the day you know reality sets in if you don't have the cash to pay the taxes you're you're done for so yeah yeah yeah that's it that's it that's that's all I got to say that's all I got to say when you when you become when you become at that level when when you become at I'm not trying to boast here all right it's not all Glitz and glamour to pay taxes on that it's like you get okay let's say you got a you you got you're getting paid a salary job right typical 9 to5 job you get paid every 2 weeks right every every every two weeks you get paid let's say 2,000 bucks okay goes into your bank account for me with crypto mining it's it's like the same thing except a lot of times I'm getting the crypto mining into my wallet almost every day uh sometimes I I I delay like the the coin payments like you know five or 10 so it's like maybe every 8 or 10 days days I get the coin into my own wallet so when it hits my own personal wallet I pay income tax on that so say the coin is on the mining pool right so I'm accumulating the coin when it hits my wallet in 10 days or so whenever I want to get that payout hits my own wallet that's when it marks that salary okay it's like getting paid you know like a salary and the initial value of that which you know you use you use uh coin Le I use coin Le to uh it it gathers all the apis all the coin prices and stuff and and it hits your wallet that day that's considered income all right income is where I need to pay that initial tax income tax on that all right and so now you guys are some people are going to ask well what about if you sold the coin later yeah okay so then it's going to Capital it's going to then calculate either capital gain or Capital loss okay after that initial cost base so between let's say you you Min $2,000 Bitcoin that day and you know down the road it went to$ 10,000 you're paying capital gain taxes between 2,000 and 10,000 so it's only 8,000 that it's going to calculate uh between between there BC coin Le doesn't work with Caspa uh BC you got to export Caspa with uh you got to export Caspa with a CSV exporter there there there is a there is a uh there there is someone made a tool for that uh BC em uh BC Discord me later I'll show you I'll show you I'll show you how but when you use coin Le at the end of the year that's also providing all the details of your transactions yes coin Le exactly when you import all your transactions it's all there it's all in there when you when you do the complete report when you export the complete report in
