what is up ladies and gentlemen welcome back to the Brandon coin YouTube channel and this little right guy right here has thrown me for a loop and uh I kind of wasted more time than I probably have on on much of anything in a while so um a friend of a friend got recommended to come by cuz he just bought a computer and it will not play snowrunner so if you're not familiar snowrunner is a game that's been out for a while it's like a off-road like driving kind of game anyway regardless um this is a Intel Arc A380 this should have enough horsepower to run snowrunner like no doubt about it this is not a Powerhouse of a GPU but it should be able to run snowrunner um he brings his computer by I click on snowrunner literally it says launching and then nothing nothing happens no errors no no windows nothing I'm like what the heck is this like a software issue um I Google it real quick and I'm like snowrunner on Intel Arc because I don't see a lot of these graphics cards come through here I honestly haven't messed with a lot of these graphics cards especially for gaming uh well let me tell you guys that straight up this graphics card for some reason I don't know why I updated the drivers and everything it will not play s-runner it will not I took it out and I put in a PNY 1660 super which I have quite a bunch of them boom very similar form factor I think these actually have a little bit more horsepower uh I'm not exactly sure but um I was like just trying to rule out you know what was going on here I throw the 1660 super in and I install the drivers and uh click on snowrunner and it fires right up and I'm like huh well maybe it's a fluke so pull the 1660 super out put the Intel Arc back in make sure the drivers are installed ddu the old NVIDIA drivers and it still will not launch so um word to the wise I know Intel has been working on trying to get compatibility out there but I know that's also a two-way street um for like game developers and also like uh Intel's developers so uh if you have Intel Arc gpus I just don't even suggest using them in like a budget build cuz what if you build somebody a computer and it straight up won't run whatever game they're trying to run they're going to think it's a crap computer and that's what my buddy thought well he's now my buddy but uh because he was he thought he had just bought this computer and it was a pile of junk and I'm like no it's it's not a pile of junk it's just got a graphics card that doesn't have the support for all the different games out there so yeah I guess this video is just word to the wise uh warning Intel Arc gpus probably not good [Music] for unfortunately gaming or like gaming builds imagine being the company like slapping these in tons of computers and then they just don't play certain games people there's no way people are happy about that so yeah wish they would like not have all that overhang right there on that the Shroud I don't really like that but um yeah so regardless I am in the shop got a bunch of orders going out here um bunch of graphics cards still have to pack more of them got some more in today um have to start going through adding some more stuff to inventory just got another box in of stuff that I need to go through and add to inventory haven't even opened that yet uh probably make a video on going through all that stuff because I honestly don't even remember what it was so maybe there's something cool and exciting in there I'm not sure uh but yeah so anyway uh word of the wise warning when you're using Intel Arc gpus they may not allow you to play certain games so uh I'd love to hear your thoughts comments concerns down below if you have personal experience with Intel Arc gpus that would not play specific games Drop it Down Below in the comments section and uh I'll see you on the next one Peace by the way this is all subject to change it is uh February 15th 2024 and who knows a year from now two years from now two weeks from now they may add support and they may actually fix their issues but um there's nothing that says they have to it's kind of crazy Nvidia is always like the leader on driver support and then intel was always L lagging behind or sorry not Intel but AMD was always lagging behind and Now intel is at the back of the pack for GPU driver support just because they're so new not because they're not competent um hopefully it'll get there and get caught up with the big boys but only time we'll tell anyway I'm going to jump off here keeping it short and sweet y'all have a good night peace
