Salad mining Insufficient VRAM

all right ladies and gentlemen if you have this error insufficient vram your GPU has insufficient vram for container workloads um this is a 4060 TI 16 gig system and I just updated salad to 1.6.1 uh and I have not restarted the computer yet so the first thing I'm going to do is go ahead and pause salad then restart the computer and if that does not fix the issue for you um then you may want to roll your drivers back uh this one is on 556 but uh some people have said 555 and 5.56 uh was giving them insufficient vram uh issues so you roll it back to 552 and I think it's 55244 but it's the newest 552 available um that seems to be the the the combination of fixes that we've ran into so far um if this is Sy comes back online I'll hopefully be able to show you that it's good uh and I've noticed just talking to people and also with my own systems that for some reason the 4060 TI 16 gig and then um people also complained that the 470 TI super which they're both 16 gig cards um I guess those cards are more prevalent to having the uh vram insufficient error um I've never seen that error on my 309s I've I've never seen that error on the 30 60 12 gigs so maybe there's just something wonky about those 16 gig cards and how they a lot the vram let me get a Refresh on this and see if that rig's back online it is okay so let's log back into this and another thing um whenever you go to set your system back to chopping so we just got a fresh restart on this um check on it about 10 minutes afterwards that's when I notice mine will either say it's insufficient or it is you know just chopping it's good to go um so don't just like like right now you could be like oh yeah everything's good and you walk away now give it a few minutes check on it give it a couple more minutes um it this is one of those things that you salad is still new on the workload side um and they're still fixing a lot of things there's still you know lots of little hiccups and errors and there's going to be more of that as more workloads and more more customers come online um and they keep adding new revisions and new versions so um just you know if you can check on it at least once or twice a day I try to do mine in the morning somewhere around lunchtime and then in the evening uh because it's not going to be abnormal for a rig to do something wonky every now and then and potentially go down or I've noticed lately that sometimes salad will just stop running um and I'll have to relaunch salad it won't even be in the tray but it won't be like the computer restarted cuz my task manager will still be up everything will be up like I I was just there uh but salad will will not be running so all right ladies and gentlemen um I'd love to hear from you guys down below if you've had other situations where you've gotten that error and you had a different fix or if you got that error and you have not been able to fix it please let me know other than that I hope you all have a good one I will see you on the next one and um yeah peace adios all that kind of stuff let's open up task manager to see see how she's doing so oh look at that XM rig minor so that's another thing sometimes when you update it will reenable some old settings so I'm going to click on pause until idle and then we're going to go to Performance configure Hardware allow elevated permissions yeah see it reset all my settings and disable crypto mining also make sure Auto Stop is disabled as well uh and now we're going to relaunch salad very interesting so yeah just take that into account ladies and gentlemen all right y'all have a good night we'll see you on the next one we got salad bowl service so we are up and running hopefully she'll get a job here soon and by the way on my 16 gig cards I am recommending 64 4 gigs of system memory uh on those machines as well all right ladies and gentlemen y'all have a good one goodbye for real now I was hoping it would like pick up a job while I'm live streaming that' be or while I'm recording that would be really cool I don't think it's going to
