what's up ladies and gentlemen welcome back to the brandoncoin YouTube channel uh this is not a video that I wanted to create but um I feel like this maybe need is a video that needs to be out there to potentially warn other people and to give some insight into the situation um I have a small computer store uh I have a retail shop uh and I also do a lot of online business um background it's been up and live on Shopify since December and I've had my my POS uh account on Shopify uh active since January I've had no issues we've done a significant amount of sales um we I'd say you know it's it's definitely trended up because I've started adding more and more to it month over month but um it's a significant amount you know it's going to do it's going to do good this year it's not you know a little side thing um so what I'm about to tell yall is just know that it comes with a good amount of weight um but my Shopify has put my payments account on hold as of April 5th and um today is April 10th it's been 10 days I've been in contact with them over and over again countless times um they asked me to verify my identity no problem I verified it I asked them if everything was good they said yeah everything's good I'm like when will the the hold be lifted and they're like yeah it at first they told me 24 hours then they told me 72 hours and then then they told me oh it's it's not much longer this is routine this is normal um that's why you can still have you know checkouts going through and people can still buy stuff through your site because as soon as this hold goes gets lifted all your payments are just going to hit right at one time and I'm like okay so over the last 10 days I've still been selling stuff um I've still been shipping stuff um it's unfortunate because I do use the whole entire Shopify ecosystem trying to make it easier on me on the back end so that way I have my cost all entered in um my revenue reports everything and then also using the Shopify business banking card now I realized that was not wise on my end on the Shopify balance card or whatever it is um because if I have a problem with Shopify then I have a problem with everything and that's where we're at right now um I run the entire company off of that Shopify account that gets paid out through the Shopify payments even when I'm doing local stuff I use the Shopify point of salale system so it all runs through that account and I was like man this is going to be nice at the end of the year for doing taxes and all that kind of stuff cuz you know I got my cost report everything's in there everything's in there um well we didn't make it to the end of the year it is now April and basically Shopify is just holding my money hostage um as of earlier today I'm going to I'm not going to show it on screen because I don't want to like dox anything because there is some some information on each of these but let me just read you the last I I'll read you some of the messages that have gotten sent to me they are they they train their their customer support very well to Kick the Can down the road um and I don't want this to be a bashfest on on Shopify I actually really like everything that they're doing just give me my freaking money you know give me my freaking money uh all right let's see here so new message from Shopify support and every time I get messages back because I'll ask a question it's a different person replying back and I'm like that's okay they keep they do a really good job of logging everything so that way you can see each and every response um I have definitely turned into like the Naggy Karen like uh multiple times a day hey just checking in what's the status hey just checking in what's the status and now it's turned into um ear uh earlier today I said I've heard nothing yet and I'm still not able to conduct business for another day does this normally take a long time to resolve it is coming up on over a week now should I make different Arrangements I am very confused as to what is going on and then the response I got back was hey Brandon I completely understand there is a lot of urgency here our team Works in in the order that the tickets are received so we greatly appreciate your patience as they get back to you I can confirm that this type of weight can be expected and that we have a team working hard to get back to you as soon as possible can be expected as to what I asked if I needed to make other arrangements and it can be expected um okay earlier today I said um is there any kind of ETA I'm literally at a stand still waiting on payments I don't want to sell anything else until I know if I'm actually going to get my payments and then this was from a different support person said thank you for following following thank you for following up with us today I understand you're wondering if there is an estimated time until our escalated team follows up with you as your payments are still on hold I truly understand how important it is for you to have this resolved as soon as possible as every penny counts these days what what kind of what kind of sentence is that we ain't talking about pennies here um we ain't talking about pennies Here Lady uh to be completely honest with you and manage your expectations our escalated team is currently experiencing a higher than normal demand of request due to the high demand of requests our team gets we are unable to provide an accurate turnaround time for you when you will receive a response please note that our team Works according to their cue in order that they receive the emails we appreciate and your continued support and dedication to your store I'm not dedicated to my store unless I can actually get paid from it doesn't I'm I'm it doesn't do anything for me unless I can actually get my money out of it um and then it says we will continue working with you and providing you the best possible assistance to meet your needs really okay um and then first thing this morning I said checking in on my ticket there is now it's now been over a week and it's still holding up my business this is from a different one hello Brandon this is blah blah blah here from Shopify support thank you so much for contacting us today I've taken a look here and can see that you're currently waiting on an update for ticket number blah blah blah blah we can't provide a exact timeline but this is going to be reviewed by our specialized team when we H while they haven't provided an update just yet I can confirm that the ticket is still open and active in the Q at this time and as soon as possible the team will provide a direct direct response there for you with more information and the next steps as needed I understand that it can be difficult having to wait for an update in these situations but rest ass assured that your ticket is in the right hands basically they're they just have all these people that are just just pushing it off pushing it off um I I know Shopify is used by a lot of people I don't know why my account was flagged does it have anything to do with you know I I do have some crypto mining Parts on there like I I don't know it's it is so infuriatingly frustrating at the moment so yeah yeah today's you we're not going to get a regular video uh I apologize about that I am still sending out items if you do buy something don't use the shop pay tab right now um use the PayPal tab would be preferable that goes directly to my PayPal and it doesn't go through the shop pay system uh I have uh turned that off so yeah yeah um I really don't know what else to say that's just kind of where we're at so I will follow up on this when this is resolved hopefully sooner than later if you're in this situation and your account is currently on hold I definitely feel for you especially with you know my on book on the books my company's been open with them for five months to treat a small business like this unacceptable and you know what that's me just trying to keep it as PG as possible so yeah and if anybody from Shopify is here watching give me my my [ __ ] money all right give me my money everybody
