end of August 2023 so I just imported the transactions for this Caspa wallet and I am here to see the difference in terms of the cost basis and the gain that we've H that we've done now okay so let's coming okay so here is the numbers so since I've held onto this $980 ks0 non-pro back in August of 20 August 24th of uh of uh 2023 started mining so how many days ago was that how many days how many days ago was that it's February uh what is it it's February 17th now uh August 24th so 1 2 3 90 120 150 uh I'm going to say pretty much 180 days 180 days mining with a ks0 bought bought in end of August August 24th this ks0 has now broke even I didn't include electric okay if we can C we can calculate electric okay some people are going to scoff at that okay let's let's let's do it um this one does 20 watts because it is overclocked okay it is an overclocked ks0 so1 120 of a kilowatt time uh 0 point in my case it' be 11 cents so uh equals uh times 24 hours so this thing takes 31 cents a day to run 30 31 cents a day to run time 31 days be about $982 time 6 months 180 days roughly 18 yeah so this plus another 60 bucks give or take 60 bucks in electric for the past 6 months so that'd be $120 I still broke even because the initial cost of the minor at the time was $860 uh serpent but the overclock but it wasn't overclocked from the time you started no it wasn't it it serpent it wasn't I I overclocked it maybe 3 months later 2 months later so maybe the electric would be a little bit cheaper cuz this thing would then be running at like what 70 Watts or something not 120 so yeah sure I'd spend a little bit less a little bit less it doesn't even matter it doesn't even it doesn't even it's not even a big difference but the thing to go about here is anyone who bought a KS Z and mined and held uh got their money back now in theory for those that mine and held this is actually a real theoretical test 61 100 Caspa has been mined 6104 has been mined thus far on this KS z uh I've been mining on Casper pool so now another thing to consider for anyone that was maybe selling every day okay so cost basis this is the daily profit this is the daily income so every time every time I got a payout into my own wallet you can see here the value of that Caspa right each time $10 $11 right go in the beginning look the very first payout August 24th 20123 100 Caspa payout was $3.85 as we went along it obviously started going up right 100 Caspa $4.22 503 $5 now here we go recently February 11th 100 Caspa is now worth $14 so because I held all of this I have an unrealized gain here of $645 cuz I haven't sold it yet I'm still holding on to this Caspa so in terms of taxes if anyone cares I already had to pay the initial income on this $438 over the past 6 months which is is not a lot but I had to pay taxes on this now if I sold now okay it would be a realized gain and I have to do for me in Canada is 50% be 50% of this and then the 50% of that would be uh would be considered income so I'm not selling now obviously so if I sold all this now which another thing to think of is I'm able to depreciate that $860 right to depreciate the hardware over 3 years so I'm even saving money I basically got got a KS Z for free now if I were to sell this money if I were to sell this Caspa I get my money back but at the same time I also lower my taxes because I can depreciate that $860 initial Hardware investment so it's a win-win it's been good 6 months it's good now for any future people buying ks0 Pros it's going to be much longer Okay g to I'm going to stress that um it's it's going to be it's going to be much longer so actually I'm doing another test right now okay I have a KS Z Pro I have a KS zero Pro here mining by itself started November uh let's see where payouts I started this November 30th 2023 the first KS zero Pro uh so I'm going to Total paid so far 3 323 $324 so uh the initial cost of this one at the time was $500 so we're about $180 $176 away from breaking even on this ks0 Pro so I will update you guys when I hit that $500 Mark but we've mined 2004 Caspa thus far for this KS Z Pro uh received November November 30th end of November back bch I don't know what I don't know what number batch that is so already 3 months in we've already gotten $324 Worth or 2004 Caspa so if Caspa decides to price appreciate we might hit this break even a lot faster so that's why this is why I'm showing this type of this type of test because it really shows the power of Mining and holding if you guys don't understand here if I were to sell every single day for those that are maybe selling in Bitcoin here right if you're selling the $348 that you had in Caspa like I was getting almost every day here back in August if you were selling that into Bitcoin or like or just selling in the cash let's just say you're selling the $3 every day $4 in the cash every day you would be missing out as of right now if you didn't hold it you'd be missing out $645 extra in the unrealized gain here okay I this is it says unrealized because I haven't sent this transact I haven't send any of the coins out of this wallet it's still there so until I do a send until I do a until I do a uh Ascend then it'll be like a realized realized game I'd have Capital I'd have a capital gain okay so pretty cool right is this is this eye opening for anyone does anyone understand what 6,400 6700 if C goes to a dollar this would in theory be worth $6,700 so that is what I'm waiting for I'm waiting for that I'll give you an update of the ks Zer Pro whenever we break even on that which is around $500 uh we're at 324 now after 3 months so we're getting there we're get we're getting there okay what else you get what else blockchain is public and immutable yes yes exactly first time seeing this coin layup is it it is it is that what you are primarily using to track or do you have a different method uh friends hreen hren yes this is the exact software I use uh for keeping great it's been perfect calculates my income calculates my gains if I sold or losses if I have a loss yeah it's it's very easy I like this better than coin tracker okay granted there are some coins that you need to manually import okay it's not just all able to sync uh freely um most exchanges you can sync but like say you know Caspa for instance there's no there's no native pole like API support for Caspa so you have to create a custom one and then you have to import the file which you can get from uh here uh here here uh here here here uh Caspa transaction report so you can you can uh you can export the CSV you just put your Caspa address and it'll generate a CSV of all the transactions for Caspa and then you can generate it and download uh download the uh your your CSV coin tracker is double the price of coin Le yeah yeah I don't I don't like I don't like uh I don't I don't like coin tracker coin will save you hours and hours of TDS book gaming okay Grant okay there there's also some things with with coin Le though um your transactions you you really do have to look it over okay when you import something or you know you you got to see sometimes they're not not from mining it could be like well for me in my case it's like maybe from a sponsor or something so someone paid me in crypto I got to pay taxes on that right so I consider that other income uh not mining um you know air drops loan whatever you know bunch of stuff here okay um I mine on nice hash yeah uh nice hash you can you can import nice hash actually you can connect automatically you don't need to um uh nice hash you connect to the API so that will automatically sync and it'll automatically update in your coin Le and calculate your income and all that stuff it's it's great it's it's
