Riserless GPU Mining rig added to the Garage

what is up ladies and gentlemen welcome back to the Brandon coin YouTube channel I hope everybody's having a great day and I figured I would show you guys the new setup at the house I haven't filled it up yet but um I had an extra one and I figured you know what why don't I plug that in here and it'll honestly be good for like throwing cards in and see if they boot up on Linux that kind of thing but this is one of the eight card riserless uh GPU uh riserless motherboards so you just plop a card in there if you're not familiar with them they run off of pcie power off the back and then you just feed power directly into your cards it can all be supplied by a lovely server power supply 750 W would not be enough if you had this full of big cards right now all I have in there is the 2070 that low power little honestly kind of a junky card uh that I got from old ching chong land and um yeah I had people asking me about that like I'm not going to sell these cards I don't think they're worth it uh they just have too many issues especially due to the fact that you can't apply any power overclocks inside of Linux because the firmware doesn't have power limits enabled so it doesn't know what the minimum what the maximum is all that kind of stuff so it just errors out there's probably a work around around it's not worth it for me they're not a good enough deal but I had brought home this motherboard right here it's got a little g3900 in it I don't think I'm going to end up running that here it's just there's no point cuz I'd have to run risers off of it cuz it's on it is a gigabyte uh h110 d3a and I know some of you like 2017 miners know that motherboard very well because a lot of people ran these it was a 1 two 3 4 5 it was a six card board and I believe it was one of the cheapest ones you could get at that time um I'm probably going to bring that onto the office get it all cleaned up and uh throw it up for sale just to just to move it um what was it oh yes so when I was doing some cleaning here in the office I found this guy and it is a believe it's a 1070 TI doesn't have any markings on it 1070 oh yeah and it's leaking check it out you see that it's leaking this uh HP CPU Cooler with this NZXT bracket uh so this cooler broke obviously and it leaked on this card and I believe it ruined it I don't think 1070s are worth fixing or even 1070 TI oh yeah look at that look at that corrosion right there um so I don't know that might go in into the like the blow it up pile the old scrap pile um now coming over here boom we have the no display rig so this is a b450 motherboard the main power slot or the main time 16 slot does not work but I can get video off of uh this slot using a riser some people were just like oh put a graphics card or put a CPU in that has integrated Graphics but this motherboard does not support integrated Graphics we don't have any video out so yeah that's a thing for right now I just stuck in a um a third a 3800 believe I think it's a 30 3800x in there and I have two sticks of ballistics 8 GB in there and just doing a little CPU mining um and that's it other than my main PC which is that you know 12 core older Zeon it's a uh 2670 V3 12 core uh have it CPU Mining and then I have my 270 that's in my system mining uh and then that's that's pretty much all I have mining so that that is my at home mining update uh we did have a couple couple things mining at the office uh but the office lost power sometime throughout the day today uh there was a message that went out to all the tenants and they were doing some repairs and anyway they had to turn the power off to finish some of their repairs so um I noticed everything went offline and nothing came back online and that's fine I mean it's not a big deal it's not like I had much running over there but uh yeah I saw the security cam camera came back on everything seemed fine so it is what it is but anyway just just a small little update um future plans for mining I think I would like to probably maybe put another three or four more cards on here probably some of like the less desirable cards that I get so ones with like you know busted coolers or rigged up coolers that kind of thing stuff that would not be good to sell retail um big shout out uh reached out or uh sorry silver Knights had got reached out and said that they could do some GPU repair so we're going to be sending off some gpus to them one of them the RTX 2080 that we looked at the other day and then also that Quadro a6000 but I'm getting a phone call so that means I'm ending it later guys have a good one adios
